The installation in the ZAK project space is the second part of the project Denkmal Streicheln - Denkmal Hören by Justin Time and Sabine Ercklentz, which deals with monuments in public spaces and chooses unusual ways of approaching them. On three participatory city walks in the summer of 2025, bronze sculptures and stone sculptures in public spaces in various districts of Spandau were touched and "felt". Sound recordings of these encounters are processed into a sounding walk-in sculpture in the exhibition. The result is a multi-sensory space of experience, an "anti-bronze".
Sabine Ercklentz is a composer-performer and sound artist. She frequently collaborates with other artists and participates in transdisciplinary projects.
The formats she chooses are diverse, ranging from concerts and audiovisual works to performances, installations, and audio pieces.
Justin Time is a multimedia artist, filmmaker, and curator. After completing his
training as a stonemason*, he spent three years traveling across Europe and later studied fine arts and urban studies. He has maintained his connection to sculpture and works multidisciplinarily with film and installations.
Funded by the Fonds Dezentrale Kulturarbeit Spandau. With the kind support of the district development funds of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe.
