Celebrities and the proletariat - stories from Anhalter Bahnhof

A historical audio walk

--> Click here for the website

The history of Anhalter Bahnhof in Berlin reflects over 180 years of city, national and European history. Between 1841 and 1952, the station was a hub for journeys to and from Berlin. Then as now, the station is linked to the development of urban life in its surroundings.
The historically based audio walk presents the history of the Anhalter Bahnhof in 15 consecutive chapters from the perspective of imaginary characters who may have experienced the changes to the station from its planning and construction to the present day. The stories tell of the gain and loss of significance of a place that has become a Berlin legend.

A project of the FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum: Birthe Freymann (idea, research and texts), Verena Pfeiffer-Kloss (concept and project support), Fabian Hickethier, Jurij Hickethier /BAR PACIFICO GESTALTUNG UND PROZESSE (design).
