The mountains of Tyrol are at once a place of longing, a living landscape, an economic space, and a screen onto which dreams and ideas are projected. The special exhibition "The Mountains of Tyrol" at the Museum of European Cultures explores these many-layered relationships between people and mountains, and forms the starting point of this year's European Culture Days: Tyrol.
The programme over the coming weeks is richly varied – ranging from concerts, readings and film evenings to culinary events, guided hikes, a climbing day and a yodelling workshop. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet people, start conversations and discover new perspectives on the Tyrolean mountain world.
To open the festivities, the duo Minerva will give a short preview of their musical programme, which can be heard in full the following evening at the Austrian Cultural Forum. Drinks will be served with and without alcohol, including specialities made with Alpine herbs.
BlümchenKAFFEE also offers picnic baskets filled with Tyrolean specialities. Pre-order the "Tyrolean Family Basket" for 20 euros per person or the "Bretteljause deluxe" for 35 euros per person by emailing info[at]esskultur-berlin.de.
We look forward to raising a glass with you and celebrating the start of the European Culture Days: Tyrol together!
