Körperwelten Berlin

The “Body Worlds” exhibition at the Menschen Museum in Berlin is dedicated to the theme “Facets of Life.”

In his “Body Worlds” exhibitions, Dr. Gunther von Hagens reveals the inner workings of the human body, making the fragile, vulnerable structures of life visible to those without a medical background. Together with curator Dr. Angelina Whalley, he showcases the facets of life in the exhibition in Berlin-Mitte—ranging from happiness to misfortune, pressure to balance, chance to fate, obsession with the body to neglect of the body, as well as excess to modesty.

200 plastinates offer insight into the highly complex inner workings of the human body

The Human Museum, or MeMu for short, opened its doors in Berlin in 2015. It is located on Alexanderplatz, directly in front of the Berlin TV Tower. Since then, visitors have had the opportunity to marvel at over 200 unique plastinates at MeMu. These provide deep insight into the highly complex inner workings of the human body. This allows interested visitors to gain detailed knowledge about organ functions and common diseases, all presented in an easy-to-understand way. The lifelike poses create an immediate connection with the viewers.
