2025 war das Modejahr der Gemäldegalerie: Auf den Berliner Salon, eine Ausstellung junger Designer*innen, und eine Fotostrecke des Modefotografen Ralf Mecke folgte im Juni ein weiterer Höhepunkt in Paris: J. W. Anderson debütierte bei Dior mit einer Neuauflage historischer Moden, inszeniert in einem getreuen Nachbau der Berliner Gemäldegalerie. Bei dem Rundgang reflektiert Kunst- und Kostümhistoriker Martin Hanßen diese Ereignisse und verknüpft sie mit Kostümgeschichte, Trends und Architektur.
