Four-day workshop: Tue–Fri / Aug. 11–14, 2026 / 4:00–8:00 p.m.
From building the canvas to applying the primer, mixing colors from pigments, and creating the finished painting: This workshop is not just about painting, but also about craftsmanship. Step by step, you’ll build your canvas and prepare the painting surface. Inspired by Impressionist painting, you’ll then design and create your own painting—using acrylic paints and paints you’ve made yourself from pigments. The workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediate students who want to delve deeply into an artistic method.
The participation fee includes material costs of 40 euros.
Instructor: Christiane van BeekAfter completing her degree in social pedagogy, Christiane van Beek studied painting and graphic arts at the IBKK in Bochum from 2002 to 2006. In 2006, she founded a painting school for young people and adults in Münster and Berlin. Since 2007, she has been a member of the Federal Association of Visual Artists of North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin. In addition to exhibiting her work as a freelance artist, she works as an art educator for various institutions.
