Kleider machen Leute, und sie formen Bilder einer Epoche. Mode spiegelt den Zeitgeist einer Gesellschaft, ihre Werte und ihren Wandel. In dieser Führung beleuchten die Kunsthistorikerin Britta Bode und der Kunst- und Kostümhistoriker Martin Hanßen ausgewählte italienische Werke der Gemäldegalerie zwischen 1500 und 1650 und sprechen über gesellschaftliche Rollen, kulturellen Wandel und darüber, wie die Mode darauf reagiert.
