it is not the homosexual who is perverted, but the situation in which he lives' by Rosa von Praunheim caused an earthquake in 1971 and led to the founding of numerous gay movements across Germany for the first time. Instead of appealing for empathy and understanding, Praunheim sharply attacked gay men: they were stuffy, lonely, vain and apolitical and should finally take to the streets! A movie like a resounding slap in the face, which also plays a central role in the exhibition "Inventing Queer Cinema" for good reason. We will show the film again and invite the audience and invited guests to take a critical stance. An open discussion without a podium or stage, in which we want to discuss the impact and theses of the film anew.

Guests: Martin Dannecker (sexologist, author), Jochen Hick (director, journalist, author), Faraz Shariat (director, producer, author)
