Faster travel to the central station: S15 to start on June 15

The Berlin Senate will discuss the Corona protection measures on Tuesday.
It is expected that the measures will be extended until 30 June 2022. The existing compulsory testing is to be replaced by compulsory masking in nursing homes in the future. It remains to be seen whether compulsory testing will be continued in Berlin schools. The results of the senate meeting will be presented in a press conference afterwards.
The Senate also wants to discuss the so-called special use fee for gastronomic businesses. Gastronomes had to make a special payment for the use of public traffic areas. during the Corona pandemic, however, it was suspended. A resolution could give Berlin's boroughs the option of the special payment remaining suspended until the end of this year.
In addition, the outline plan for the design of the area around Bahnhof Zoo, Hertzallee and Hardenbergplatz will be discussed. The construction of flats and student flats is planned in this area. In addition, the Senate will deal with the preparations for the nationwide payment of social benefits for Ukrainian war refugees by the job centres as of 1 June. The members of the Senate meet from 1o o'clock. In addition, the Senate Commission on Climate Protection meets for the first time on Tuesday.
