Corona incidence in Berlin falls below 700

Corona-Test

The official Corona figures have continued to fall in Berlin. A seven-day incidence of around 698 was reported by the Robert Koch Institute on Sunday (10 April 2022).

In the previous seven days, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants was still well above 700 and 800 in some cases. Berlin thus remained the federal state with the fewest recorded new infections, followed by Brandenburg. The Germany-wide average was just under 1098.

Around 945,000 cases since the start of the pandemic

However, probably because of the weekend, only one new case of Corona infection and no new deaths were reported in Berlin. Since the beginning of the pandemic two years ago, a total of around 945,000 cases have been recorded. Experts also point out that many cases of infection are not likely to appear in the official data. Many of those infected only detect their Corona infection with a self-test. These cases are not included in the statistics.
