Proof of recovery soon to be valid for three months in all areas

In all areas of life in Berlin, the status "Recovered" will soon be valid for three months.

Berlin implements federal guidelines

This was announced by Senator for Health Ulrike Gote (Green Party) on Tuesday (Feb. 1, 2022) after a meeting of the Berlin Senate. The different length of validity of the certificate of recovery caused confusion last week. At the federal level, the status "Recovered" is valid for three months since mid-January. The same applied in some areas of life in Berlin, for example on public transport. However, the Berlin Infection Protection Ordinance, which regulates areas such as the restaurants sector, still spoke of a validity of six months - this has now been changed. The new regulation is expected to come into force on Sunday (Feb. 5, 2022).
