Passengers on Berlin's public transport network will once again have to prepare for significant restrictions on Monday, 10 February 2025.
The trade union Verdi has called for an all-day warning strike in the wage dispute with Berlin's public transport operators (BVG). As on 27 January, buses, trams and underground trains in the capital will once again largely come to a standstill from 3 am. Depending on the shift schedules, the strike could start earlier or end later on some lines, according to Verdi. The latter applies to night buses, for example, which normally continue to run after 3 a.m. but will not run on Tuesday night due to the warning strike.
This is already the second industrial action in the current round of collective bargaining. Negotiations last Friday, in which BVG presented an offer, were postponed without result. The S-Bahn is not affected by the strike. It is not operated by BVG, but by Deutsche Bahn. Regional trains and sharing services can still be used. Lines and services operated by other companies on behalf of BVG are not affected by the strike. This applies to the BVG Muva and all ferries (F10, F11, F12).
