In Mitte, there will be fewer e-scooters lying around on sidewalks in future - because they may only be parked in certain parking spaces.
No-parking zone outside the parking spaces
Users can only park their rented bikes, e-mopeds and e-scooters in Mitte at these 100 spots and end the rental. The district has set up a 3.5 square kilometer no-parking zone for two-wheelers around the 70 Jelbi points and the 30 signposted parking spaces. Jelbi is the mobility platform of the Berlin public transport company BVG.
Pilot project: Three barrier-free Jelbi areas
According to the district, the three parking spaces near the subway stations Museum Island and Alexanderplatz and at the TV Tower are barrier-free as a pilot project. The parking spaces were financed by the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment.
