According to the information, they have a specially developed structure for disaster control.

59 volunteer fire brigades in Berlin

The challenges for a city with over a million inhabitants like Berlin are great in terms of protecting the population, said Interior Senator Iris Spranger at the symbolic handover of the vehicles. According to Spranger, the 59 volunteer fire brigades and 1400 volunteers in Berlin have an important task to fulfil. The federal government is financing the vehicles completely. According to the Senate Administration, each vehicle is worth 223,000 euros.
