Since Monday, self-employed persons and small and medium-sized enterprises can apply for funds from the newly launched funding programme "Digitalprämie Berlin" (digital bonus).
With this, the Senate Department for Economics supports the digitalisation of companies. "In the double budget 22/23, 9 million euros are available for the continuation of the successful programme," said spokesperson Matthias Kuder on the new start. The programme runs until 31 December 2023. Applications are possible from 15 August 2022.
The continuation of the "Digitalprämie" is reportedly intended to enable companies to invest more in digital technologies, improve IT security or further develop business models. The programme was launched in the Corona pandemic in November 2020. Companies with up to 249 employees and solo self-employed persons are eligible for funding. The digital premium is part of the programme "Neustart Wirtschaft".
So far, more than 25 million euros have been paid out to more than 4,000 companies from the first funding period of the digital bonus. Of the funding, about 45 per cent was used to purchase software, about 30 per cent for hardware and 25 per cent for measures to improve IT security.
