The State of Berlin and Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB) have drawn a positive conclusion after about two years of "Corona support for start-ups".

The support was set up in three modules, through which around 190 million funding commitments were made to over 150 start-ups by the end of June 2022. This was announced by the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Enterprises on Thursday. Accordingly, more than 3,000 jobs have been secured through the Corona aid.

"Berlin stands firmly by its entrepreneurs, in good times and in times of crisis"

Berlin's Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy and Operations, Stephan Schwarz (non-party), underlined the relevance of the start-up scene for Berlin: " As a leading start-up location, we have also sent a clear message with this: Berlin stands firmly by its entrepreneurs, in good times and in times of crisis. The start-up scene is an important driver for our economy and makes our city strong - and at the same time it played its part in the fact that we lost less economic power in the Corona crisis and were able to recover faster than others."
