Airport Express cancelled in last holiday weeks

Flughafen-Express

The Airport Express (FEX) will be completely cancelled during the last two weeks of the Berlin holidays.

Due to construction work on the tracks in Grünau, trains will no longer run from around 4 a.m. this Monday until the morning of 22 August, Deutsche Bahn announced. Passengers would have to switch to other connections to reach BER Airport during this time. The FEX takes around 30 minutes to cover the distance. Some regional trains are similarly fast.

Restrictions on regional train services

However, there will also be restrictions on these connections in August: Accordingly, the RB14 and the RE7 will not stop in Terminal 1-2 of the airport from Monday, 15 August, to Friday, 19 August, but in Terminal 5. The reason here too: Work on tracks in Grünau.
