Berliners should be careful this weekend: The German Weather Service (DWD) is forecasting very high temperatures and has issued a heat warning.
Thursday will start off cloudy but will remain mostly dry. According to the DWD, temperatures will reach 27 to 31 degrees. It will remain cloudy overnight into Friday, and no precipitation is expected. Temperatures will drop to 17 to 15 degrees.
Saturday could be particularly hot. According to the DWD, a Level 2 heat warning is possible on that day. This is the highest warning level. It is issued when the heat index could exceed 38 degrees Celsius in the early afternoon. According to the DWD, a Level 1 heat warning is likely for Friday and Sunday. This warning is issued when the apparent temperature exceeds approximately 32 degrees Celsius.
