Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) pays his inaugural visit to the Rotes Rathaus (Red Town Hall). There he is welcomed by Berlin's Governing Mayor Kai Wegner (CDU).
"Well, I hope Friedrich Merz is as delighted as I am," Wegner said on Tuesday.
A meeting with members of the black-red Senate is planned. According to Wegner, the meeting will focus on Berlin's desire for more international flight connections at BER airport. In the afternoon, Wegner and Merz plan to visit Berlin Space Technologies GmbH in Adlershof together. A tour with explanations about satellite construction is planned there.
