The e-scooters from Felyx can be rented in many Berlin districts.
Felyx is a Dutch start-up and has also set up its e-scooters in Berlin since the summer of 2021. Renting the dark green electric scooters works according to the free floating concept: The scooters can be rented and parked again in the entire business area.
Before using the e-scooters from Felyx, customers must download the provider's free app. Customers must register here and prove that they have at driving licence. In addition, the method of payment must be specified. Users can pay by PayPal, credit card, instant bank transfer and direct debit. The scooters are each equipped with two helmets, a holder for a smartphone and a USB connection.
Anyone who wants to rent an e-scooter from Felyx can use the app to display a free scooter in the vicinity and reserve it for 15 minutes free of charge. As soon as the scooter has been unlocked via the app, the usage time begins. A fee of 27 cents is charged per minute. Now the scooter can be used within the service area. The service area includes Wannsee, Neukölln and Alt-Treptow in addition to large areas in Berlin-Mitte.
Once the destination has been reached, the scooter can be parked and the journey ended using the app. The final return of the electric scooter may only take place within the Felyx service area. With the parking mode, parking can be done outside the service area, but the ride cannot be ended. The scooter may only be parked where no passers-by will be obstructed.
