Gently gliding over the colourful gardens of the world between the high-rise gorges of Marzahn and Hellersdorf - this is possible in the Berlin cable car, which opened in 2017 for the International Garden Exhibition. After the end of the IGA, the cable car will be operated as an independent means of transport between the Kienberg underground station, the summit of the Kienberg and the entrance to the Gardens of the World at Blumberger Damm.

View from the top station

The cable car stations are located outside the gardens of the world. From the "mountain station" on the Kienberg, the Wolkenhain viewing platform and the natural bobsleigh run are easily accessible. During the cable car ride, there is a wide view over the Kienbergpark on the eastern side of the Kienberg and the Gardens of the World on its western side. Some of the cable car cabins have glass floors that give passengers who suffer from vertigo the feeling of floating freely over the gardens. Depending on the number of visitors, up to 3000 passengers per hour can travel by cable car.
