English-language book club

Interested library users can now read a book together at the "English-language book club" and talk about their own reading impressions - the new reading circle will take place every second Wednesday of the month in the Philipp Schaeffer Library from April. The event will be led by literary scholar Neil Bristow, who studied English Literature and Creative Writing in Dublin.

The first event will discuss Kazuo Ishiguro's novel "The Remains of the Day". The discussion will be held in English: Anyone with a very good command of English is welcome to attend. The only requirement for participation is to read the book in advance and to be prepared to talk about it with other participants.
