With the founding of the Culture and Education Center (KuBiZ) in Berlin-Weißensee, an open neighborhood garden project was also created.
The Open Garden Weißensee at KuBiZ is a communal space where vegetable patches, fruit trees, herbs and many other plants thrive. Here, participants share their time, joy and knowledge about plants and nature while looking after the grounds together. Anyone who would like to help, be it with gardening, beekeeping or other projects, is welcome to get involved and participate. A meeting is held every second Saturday of the month at 12 noon to organize whatever needs to be done.
