The sunny beer garden with old trees in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood is part of the Schankhalle and the historic Pfefferberg grounds.
In the beer garden perched high above Senefelderplatz, traditional brewery cuisine made with regional and seasonal ingredients is given a modern twist. For example, the suckling pig is served here in a dark beer and mustard sauce alongside apple sauerkraut and rösti, while the vegetarian platter with beets and goat cheese features pumpkin purée, chickpea-sesame cream and shallot-cream cheese for a delightful culinary experience. The master brewer crafts the beer himself using traditional methods and organic ingredients. The tart Bergpils captivates with its fruity hop aroma, while the Red Ale features a slightly fruity malt note. Those who want to learn more about the art of brewing can join a brewery tour. A highlight in the summer is Berg-Sonntag (Mountain Sunday), when, weather permitting, guests can tap their own fresh draft beer to accompany the grilled dishes.
