Every Sunday at 4 p.m., Nunu is at the playground. But there’s no time to play. That’s because it’s handover time—from Mom’s house to Dad’s house and from Dad’s house to Mom’s house, Mom to Dad, Dad to Mom, Mom Dad, Da-Ma-, Ma-Pa-… week after week. They often argue during this, sometimes about the right clothes, sometimes about the orthodontist appointment. Nunu stands in the middle. 

Yella—self-proclaimed Superwoman or fairy godmother—luckily understands what it feels like to be new somewhere. And step—no, bonus—brother Max knows just how annoying his little half—well, sort of bonus—sister really is. 

As Nunu’s eighth birthday approaches, the question arises: Should they celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa at Dad’s house or with homemade tomato sauce at Mom’s? Nunu would love to stay seven—at least seven isn’t divisible by two. 

Together, the kids thoroughly shake up the adults’ rules and throw a very special birthday party.
