What does it mean to dream freely – and who actually decides what art should look like?The theatre group from MINA – Leben in Vielfalt e.V. invites you to an extraordinary evening of theatre: around twenty actors and musicians aged between 9 and 50 create a world full of fantasy on a stage that is both minimalist and colourful. Through music, dance and storytelling, they take the audience on a journey to distant lands, bring dreams to life and together venture into new perspectives.But the path there is not clear: a rule-abiding director attempts to shape an “artistic” work from the diversity of ideas – and in doing so comes into conflict with the performers’ creativity. Whilst he believes he is creating space, this space becomes increasingly confined. The performers begin to question: Are they trapped on stage? And is there a way out into freedom?A poetic, vibrant play about boundaries, self-determination and the power of imagination. The audience is also invited to become part of the evening and to contribute their own dreams.With Berlin bleibt!, Werkstatt Mehringplatz and Treffpunkt Mehringplatz various connections and collaborations between HAU and numerous neighbourhood projects and organisations have emerged and grown in recent years.This is also the case with the inclusive theatre group from MINA – Leben in Vielfalt e.V. This is a place of play and encounter for actors and musicians aged 9 to 50, with and without disabilities. Based in the immediate neighbourhood of the HAU, they are performing on the HAU2 stage for the fourth time – creating a space where differences become strengths.
