The Silent Apples: A woman, an apple, and forty years of silence.

Maçãs envelhecidas (working title) creates a performative landscape where memories are

not narrated but experienced through sound, image, voice, and movement. Inspired by short stories from Urubus by Brazilian author Carla Bessa, the performance follows Aparecida, whose life has become inscribed in the ordinary objects surrounding her. An apple turns into a vessel for anger, longing, and forty years of unspoken memory. Field recordings from Brazil, the sounds of ageing apples, video, and a highly physical performance weave

together into a poetic exploration of how emotions remain embedded in things—and what happens when they finally begin to erupt.
