Jojo, 17, is angry at the world—and the world is angry at him. After a theft, he is sentenced to community service at a nursing home. There he meets Leo, who doesn’t say a word. But the longer Jojo is forced to spend time with Leo, the more the silent man reveals about his past. For once, the grim old man was a professional boxer who took a hard fall—in the ring and in life. A bond develops between the two. Leo challenges Jojo to shed his habits, excuses, and fears; at the same time, Jojo finds in Leo an ally who understands him without many words. They hatch a plan that gives both of them the chance to take control of their own lives.

In 1996, thirty years after its premiere at the GRIPS Theater, this classic of youth theater returns, taking a fresh look at the dialogue between generations and questions of vulnerability, solidarity, and respect.
