“Have you ever sawed out a hole? And what happened? Was it gone afterward?” florschütz & döhnert are trying to get to the bottom of the secrets of holes. And they are making holes. The more holes they make, the bigger the possibilities, astonishingly, that reveal themselves – like a door that leads to somewhere else. This is an expedition into the realm of fantasy, mysterious and as exciting as a thriller. This is a magical piece of theater that deals with tricks of the senses in a humorous way, serving to sharpen the senses. Melanie Florschütz and Michael Döhnert have been part of the artistic family of the Schaubude Berlin ever since they decided to develop their own theatrical language for young audiences. The production „A hole in the air and everywhere“ is poetic theater – nearly without words and with a lot of sound and music. The production was revised in 2025 and expanded with an artistically integrated audio description. For this, both artists collaborated with students and educators from the Marie-und-Hermann-Schmidt-Schule, the Brandenburgische Schule für Blinde und Sehbehinderte as well as blista, the national competence center for the blind and visually impaired. Accessibility We offer an audio drama version for blind and visually impaired audiences, delivered via headphones. The introductory touch tour begins at 9 am; meeting point is the foyer. We offer a pick-up service for blind and visually impaired audiences from the S-Bahn station or tram stop „Greifswalder Straße“. Access Friends are also available on site to assist visitors if needed. Please register for the touch tour and the pick-up service by email at or by phone at +49 30 4234314 by 4 pm on the day before the performance.
