FKA TWIGS

Outstanding British artist to perform at Berlin's Velodrom in June 2026

To limit FKA twigs solely to her music would not do justice to her art. Rather, the 37-year-old Grammy-nominated British artist is a multidisciplinary icon of her generation: a singer-songwriter, producer, choreographer, dancer, visual artist, actress, and fashion visionary who expresses herself across all these mediums. She skillfully weaves her distinctive sound—a blend of R&B, avant-pop, trip-hop, and electronic music, she skillfully weaves together dance, fashion, and acting. Since the early 2010s, she has risen from London’s underground art and club scene to global recognition through her music, music videos, and songs like “Two Weeks,” “cellophane,” and “tears in the club” featuring The Weeknd. To date, the artist has graced the covers of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Dazed, and i-D, and has served as the face of major campaigns for brands such as Calvin Klein, H&M, Marc Jacobs, Apple, and Sotheby’s. In doing so, she strikes a unique balance between art, luxury, and cultural progress, combined with a vocal commitment to the empowerment of women and their presence in art and technology, making FKA twigs one of the most visionary and influential creatives of her generation.

Tahliah Debrett Barnett was born in Cheltenham, England, to an English mother and a Jamaican father. Both parents were dedicated to the arts, laying the foundation for her own artistic journey. Under the stage name twigs, she began writing her first songs at the age of 16. At 17, she moved to London, where she worked as a dancer and released her debut EP, “EP1,” in 2012. After changing her stage name to FKA twigs, her second EP, “EP2,” followed in 2013. In 2014, the artist released her debut album, “LP1,” and was nominated for the BBC “Sound of” Award that same year; she followed up with her EP “M3LL155X” in 2015. In 2019, FKA twigs released her album “Magdalene” and cemented her reputation as one of the boldest artists of her generation with her fusion of movement, experimental sounds, and cinematic storytelling. In 2022, she released her mixtape “CAPRISONGS.” That same year, she became the youngest solo artist to receive NME’s “Godlike Genius” Award, which recognized her impact as a boundary-pushing innovator across multiple disciplines.

In January 2025, she built on her multidimensional artistic vision with her album “Eusexua,” once again proving her exceptional stature. On November 14, she released her latest work, “Eusexua Afterglow,” as the fourth album of her career. The record is not a deluxe version or a B-side, but a completely new album that should be understood as a sequel. As early as the beginning of 2025, FKA twigs toured Europe on her Eusexua 2025 Tour and played a concert at Berlin’s Uber Eats Music Hall. In 2026, she will return to North America, the UK, and Europe on her BODY HIGH TOUR and will perform live at Berlin’s Velodrom on June 12, 2026.
