Since 2006, Cosmonautix have been touring Europe and Mexico, bringing people together on the dance floor with their “Rocket Balalaika Speedfolk.” Songs about Ukrainian Cossacks, Jewish gangsters, and Italian partisans get everyone dancing and celebrate the cultural diversity of our planet. Captain Morgan Nickolay and his international crew are following in the footsteps of their West German predecessors Alexandra, Ivan Rebroff, and Dschinghis Khan—with just one difference: less Schlager, but more ska, cumbia, and folk’n’roll! Cosmonautix are the cultural counterattack to Russia’s war of aggression! Поїхали!
