Master hairdresser Rosi Fröhlich is facing the end of her beloved salon: it has to close. Her life’s work is falling apart. And then her twin sister Gabi (Kathi Damerow) unexpectedly walks into the salon—once a celebrated GDR pop star, now almost forgotten.

Amid jealousy, wounded pride, and old scores, sparks fly—and it’s hilarious. And the lifelong question: “Why aren’t I like you?”

With the greatest hits and brand-new songs by Peter Plate and Ulf Leo Sommer, they bicker, argue, and laugh their way through their shared past—and their shared lives. Salon Rosie is the prequel to “Wir sind am Leben”—the Berlin musical that has already sold 100,000 tickets.
