Rosa von Praunheims Die Bettwurst - Das Musical!

Anna Mateur and Heiner Bomhard deliver an entertaining and hilarious take on the film’s characters, Luzi and Dietmar: they get to sing, dance, and get up to all sorts of wonderful shenanigans.

Rosa von Praunheim (1942–2025)—a renowned director, producer, writer, and LGBTQ activist—adapted his own 1971 cult film into a musical for the stage at BAR JEDER VERNUNFT, creating a highlight of our theater history.

Accompanied by Bomhard’s music—featuring catchy songs and lighthearted arrangements—he and four co-stars take their turns on the revolving stage until the entire audience is in a frenzy.

We pay tribute to one of the country’s most courageous and uncompromising artists—clever, witty, and provocative. With “Die Bettwurst – The Musical!”, his spirit lives on on our stage.
