Winter Life at Museumsdorf Düppel

Warm furs and candlelight: the open-air museum is opening its doors to visitors of all ages for the last time this year.

Winterleben im Freilichtmuseum – Das Museumsdorf Düppel im Winter

Winterleben im Freilichtmuseum – Das Museumsdorf Düppel im Winter

Villagers dressed in medieval costume invite visitors to gather around the fire and relax on furs in the reconstructed houses of the museum village. There will be cooking, carving and spinning. In this historic setting, the fairy-tale witch Silberzweig tells winter stories by the warming fire.

The village square also glows in the warm light of the iron forge and an open campfire. Delicious soup, freshly roasted bread on a stick and hot mulled wine warm you from the inside. There is also a varied programme of events!
