Hosted liveFor thousands of years, mankind believed that the Earth was at the centre of the universe. Since the first time we looked through a telescope, our perspective has changed radically. Today we know that our sun is just an ordinary star among hundreds of billions of stars in our Milky Way. Increasingly powerful telescopes and space probes have shown that our solar system is just one of countless planetary systems in our galaxy. What is necessary for life to emerge on these worlds and what might it look like? Since the dawn of mankind, we have been preoccupied with the question: are we alone in space?Coffee, Cake and Cosmos ComboThis event can be booked as part of the ‘Coffee, Cake and Cosmos Combo’ (Thu–Sun, 3–7 pm at the Zeiss Großplanetarium).
