Das Historische Brummen. A history lecture with music and surprises

On the occasion of Green Sanctuary (C.O.T.B.), the second chapter of the exhibition series Since…, Veit Laurent Kurz and artist and musician Max Brand present a performative lecture on the history of the English landscape garden, in which sound and historical research interweave.
In the garden, Kurz activates the material of his exhibition, stepping into the performative role of the historian. What began during the Summer School for Haus am Waldsee’s 80th anniversary in August 2025 as an exploration of the history of the institution’s grounds and its natural surroundings condenses here, together with Max Brand’s musical interventions, into an atmospheric gathering in the open air.
