Art and Transformation in the face of our complex futures

Salon: ÜberMorgenLand – Futuristische Stadtszene mit komplizierten Gebäuden und Brücken in Blau- und Grüntönen, Kuppeln und architektonischen Details sichtbar.

For this evening, the theatre space is transformed into an inspiring haven of possibilities, rich in artistic performances, topics for discussion and diverse encounters – each time with a specific focus. This time, the focus is on the perspectives of artists in Iran and Iranian artists in the diaspora.

The overarching theme is transformation: the productive transformation of our ways of life towards a future built on solidarity, and the accompanying narratives in the visual and performing arts.

ÜberMorgenLand thus addresses the most pressing questions of our time: How can we conceive of our world, and what must our society be like so that we can live together here in the future? How can universal human rights be respected once again? How can climate justice and species justice be factored into this?

Artistic ideas in unconventional formats provide a platform for personal approaches, inspiration and provocative engagement with these pressing questions.

 

This is an initiative by the suite42 collective in cooperation with the tak Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg, and it builds on the first series, which ran at Radialsystem V until 2017.
