Rap, Respekt, Rebellion – 10 Years Birthday Party

SISTER*QUEENS

10 years of feminist rap, community, empowerment and collective creativity. SISTER*QUEENS takes you on a journey back to the beginning: the first rap workshops in Berlin’s Wedding district, videos, concerts and plenty of sisterhood. On this evening, we’re not just celebrating a project, but all the voices, perspectives and encounters that have shaped us over the last ten years.  Look forward to new performances, a dance battle, over 60 choir voices and an evening full of beats and encounters. It’ll be loud, it’ll be emotional. Sometimes powerful lyrics will move us, sometimes the dance moves will have us leaping out of our seats – always driven by the power to share stories and shape spaces together. To mark our 10th anniversary, we want to make room for as many of our companions and supporters as possible. That’s why the programme will take place in two time slots – featuring shared highlights, but also unique moments that make each session special.Whether you’ve known SISTER*QUEENS for years or are joining us for the first time – come along, have some cake with us and experience how HAU2 becomes our living room, our jam session and our birthday party for one evening. For the whole family. Intergenerational. Feminist. Collective.
