Launch of the new focus

We press start and become a living experimental field for all generations. At the Family Day, explore the new thematic focus experimentally: whether tinkering, marvelling or discussing – here, technology is discovered, tried out and questioned together. Creative formats and open, hands-on activities invite you to explore the field of people and technology, test ideas and experience something new. An exciting day full of moments of discovery, interaction and lively conversations for the whole family.

 

Intelligent machines, algorithms that understand feelings, technology worn close to the body and glasses that conjure up new worlds: technology is increasingly changing how we live and how we understand ourselves. But what does this actually mean for us as human beings? Together we take a close look: What gives us courage, what makes us reflect – and how do we want to deal with this new closeness to technology?

Look forward to a colourful opening weekend and an exhibition to discover and try out. Together with leading minds from science, politics and society, we will explore the question of how we want to shape the future between humans and machines. Come along, try things out – and bring your own questions and ideas with you!

-> Prior registration is not required.

-> Remaining tickets will be available at the box office.

-> Event language: German, English, Plain German

-> Our mentors speak German and English. They’ll be happy to support you with the experiments and in the workshops on offer.

-> Duration: 8 hours

-> There will be a live stream of this event on YouTube. The event will be recorded and will be available as a video on our YouTube channel afterwards.

-> We keep seats open in case you want to sit close to the stage due to visual impairments.

-> People with visual impairments are welcome. We will request guide dog assistance if you need it.

-> We are a wheelchair accessible venue.

-> Spaces without seating are available for wheelchair users.

-> The event addresses interested people of all ages.

-> Participation requirements: no prior knowledge required
