With Bizim Radyo: Verlorene Stimmen des Widerstands (Forgotten Voices of Resistance), Kaya Peters invites audiences to a listening session in the Waiting Room.

The documentary radio play traces the history of the Turkish-language radio station of the same name, which broadcast from Leipzig in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) during the so-called Cold War. Their programme served as an important source of information for many people in Turkey as well as for migrant workers in West Germany. Through voices, music and archival material, the work brings this largely forgotten transnational history to life.
