Let’s head to “Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel”! A colorful program awaits you every first Sunday of the month. Admission is free for everyone under 18 or eligible for a discount.
Discover BerlinZEIT! Located on the first and second floors of the museum, the exhibition offers an entertaining journey through the centuries and, at the same time, a comprehensive overview of the sometimes revolutionary events in this city. All your senses are engaged: feel medieval fabrics, smell your way back to the year 1740, see the original padlock from the Brandenburg Gate, and listen to interviews with people who shaped Berlin during the period of reunification. Family tours of the exhibition offer fun for young and old alike.
The special exhibition “A Change of Scenery—Migration and Furniture Since 1960” on the third floor focuses on living in a society of migration. It explores both aesthetic and social issues. And that’s by no means all that awaits you here today!
Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel
On the first Sunday of every month, we offer a wide-ranging program for everyone at our three museums in the Nikolaiviertel. Families are especially welcome—admission is free for everyone under 18 or eligible for a discount. So look forward to great activities at the Ephraim-Palais, the Nikolaikirche, and the Knoblauchhaus!
Our solidarity-based pricing model offers free admission to adults with proof of eligibility for a discount, including students, apprentices, and those participating in the FSJ, FÖJ, and BFD programs, as well as people with severe disabilities, refugees, recipients of Bürgergeld or ALG I, and many others. Everyone else pays only the museum admission fee and can take advantage of our especially affordable combo ticket for all three museums. The extensive special event program is included in the price!
