This September, Berlin’s improvised comedy game show Darkest Thoughts is moving to the Monbijou Theatre, where it will present stand-up comedy in English every Saturday.

 

Here’s how the show works: after an opening round of stand-up from Berlin's best English-speaking comedians, the show is yours. Write down whatever's on your mind – anything you've been overthinking, from the mundane to the genuinely darkest thought in your head – anonymously, on a slip of paper. Then the comedians take your notes and improvise stand-up from them, live on the spot.

 

You write it, they make it funny. No two shows are ever the same.

 

The show, produced by Epic Comedy Berlin, has been a fixture of Berlin's English comedy scene for over seven years. Last summer it sold out its run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Now it's found a new home at the Wilhelmhütte in Berlin-Mitte.
