“Haydn is unpredictable all the time,” says Alina Ibragimova, violinist of the Chiaroscuro Quartet. “If you’re not absolutely familiar with his language he can really throw you.” The ensemble’s four musicians, who have been exploring Joseph Haydn’s string quartets for years, are well prepared for the challenge. With this concert, they conclude their two-part survey of the six works that form the groundbreaking Opus 20.
