Charlottenburg Museums Summer Festival

On June 12, 2026, the Bröhan Museum, the Rathgen Research Laboratory, the Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection, and the Collection of Casts of Ancient Sculptures at Freie Universität Berlin will hold their now-traditional joint summer festival.

In the complex of buildings adjacent to Charlottenburg Palace, visitors can enjoy a diverse program of exhibitions and events, as well as culinary offerings in the Bettina Berggruen Garden. Admission to all exhibitions and events is free. 

The Bröhan Museum will host the opening of the exhibition “Paperwork - Jumping He. Blackbox #18.” There will also be guided tours of this exhibition and the exhibition “Edward W. Godwin and Oscar Wilde. Dandies, Decadence, Modernity,” as well as a creative hands-on station for children and adults. The Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection offers guided tours of the special exhibition “Possibilities of an Island. Thinking in Images from Gerstenberg to Scharf” and an open studio. The Rathgen Research Laboratory is presenting the poster exhibition “Printed, Drawn, Transformed – Insights into Paper and Color” and offering numerous lectures by live speakers. Guided tours are also available in the Collection of Casts of Ancient Sculpture, which also offers an introduction to the production techniques of casts. The Bettina Berggruen Garden invites visitors to a summer gathering with drinks and light refreshments.
