Berlin Fire Department Vehicle Parade

The Berlin Fire Department's parade winds its way through downtown Berlin with about 80 historic and modern vehicles, bringing to life the evolution of fire and disaster response over nearly two centuries.

The highlight of the anniversary is just around the corner: On August 29, 2026, the Berlin Fire Department will hold its vehicle parade. The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Tegel Airport, proceed via Ernst-Reuter-Platz, along the Victory Column, down Straße des 17. Juni past the Brandenburg Gate, and is expected to end at 1:30 p.m. at the German Museum of Technology.

Want to be as close to the action as possible and secure the best view? We warmly welcome all spectators lining the route on Straße des 17. Juni. In addition, as part of the “Fire Department” theme day, rbb will be broadcasting live from the Brandenburg Gate on rbb TV and YouTube from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Following the vehicle parade, look forward to a varied program starting at 2:00 p.m. next to the German Museum of Technology. There will be various activities and plenty of time to take another leisurely look at the parade’s historic vehicles. In addition to demonstrations of vehicle technology, we’ll provide information about the diverse career opportunities with the Berlin Fire Department and offer practical first-aid tips.
