Take a virtual journey across the surface of Mars, Saturn’s moon Enceladus, and through the solar system.

In 3D environments developed specifically by and in collaboration with the FU, you can fly over the Martian landscape, dive into its deep canyons, fly along the massive ice plumes of Saturn’s moon Enceladus, or take a virtual dive into its interior. Based on scientific analyses of the outer characteristics of this icy moon, this creative visualization offers a fascinating journey into an extraterrestrial world and highlights its importance for Earth.

Sebastian Walter is a research scientist at Freie Universität Berlin and has been conducting research since 2004 in the Planetary Science and Remote Sensing Group at the Institute of Geological Sciences. His work focuses on the analysis, dissemination, and visualization of images from planetary space probes for the international research community. He is involved in several ongoing camera missions by ESA and NASA.

Children up to 12 years are free of charge. Please book a free children’s ticket for each child and carry it with you during the Long Night of Museums.
