Scavenger Hunt – Egypt Up Close – Follow the Scarab

If you time your visit to the Egyptian Museum between February and December to coincide with the first Sunday of the month or a Sunday during the Berlin school holidays, you can make your tour particularly exciting and varied. On these days, members of the Association for the Promotion of the Egyptian Museum Berlin e.V. invite visitors to take part in a treasure hunt to uncover the works of art and their secrets.

For the past three years, explorers of all ages have been searching for clues in the museum, and this year they will once again be accompanied by Scheri the scarab, who tells his friend, the tourist Paul, all about ancient Egypt.

The treasure hunt – available in German and English – will be handed out on the Sundays mentioned for two age groups (6–13-year-olds and those aged 14 and over, including adults) between 11.00 and 15.30. At the end, a small prize awaits every participant, which can be unearthed from the desert sand.

If you walk through the exhibition with your eyes wide open, you’ll find the treasure hunt questions very easy to answer and get up close and personal with Egypt alongside Scheri and Paul!

The treasure hunt is free of charge.
