In 2000, Rosa von Praunheim learns from his mother, who was 94 at the time, that he was adopted. It wasn’t until after the death of his beloved adoptive mother that the 63-year-old filmmaker decided to set out in search of his biological parents and boarded a plane to Riga.

Elfi Mikesch once again served as cinematographer for Praunheim on this project. The recipient of the German Film Critics’ Honorary Award will be our guest and will talk about their close collaboration.
