The Berlin ceramics collector and co-founder of the Förderverein Keramik-Museum Berlin e.V. in 1990, Mr. Michael Kossow, has accompanied the KMB's special exhibitions from the very beginning with valuable and rare loans and donations. In around five decades, he has amassed an impressive and high-caliber collection and is now providing a first public insight into it with around 170 exhibits.

One of his main focuses is on German manufactory ceramics from the first half of the20th century, which make up a large part of the exhibition now on show at the Keramikmuseum for one year. These include works by artists such as Charles Crodel, Hedwig Bollhagen, Eva Stricker-Zeisel, Ursula Fesca and the recently deceased Heidi Manthey, as well as Gerhard Marcks and the Bauhaus ceramists Theodor Bogler and Werner Burri.

As the long-standing chairman of the KMB Friends' Association, Michael Kossow also volunteers at the museum on Sundays and is happy to share his extensive knowledge of ceramic history with visitors.Translated with DeepL
