Los Angeles-based artist Rodney McMillian (born in 1969 in Columbia, South Carolina) is known for hismultidisciplinary practice, which encompasses painting, sculpture, installation, performance, and writing. His workoften addresses themes such as race and social inequality, drawing attention tooverlooked materials and marginalized stories. McMillian often uses found objects such asblankets, tarps, and architectural fragments, transforming them into powerful statements about care,survival, and political resistance. Through his art, he challenges traditional narratives and invitesviewers to reflect on the social structures that shape everyday life.
The exhibition is part of Gallery Weekend Berlin.
